Hi every-one !
(first scuse my bad english, i try to do my best but i'm french... erf)
I rode all the topics here about nice_menus and primary links, and i didn't find any easy-to-understand solution to use this module for primary links in the header. Maybe is it clear for you but not for lot of newbies :/
Could somebody explain this simply ?
Thanx !
Best regards

i'll try
With the last one you can choose to use the 'primary links' and the block you could show in header or custom region.
Hope that helps ;)
A good introduction, but...
Thank you Folkert, this is a perfect first step in nice_menus.
In Four lines we know how to activate the installation of this module and use it.
Thanks :)
But... even if we can specify during the configuration that nice_menus 1, 2 or 3 ... show primary links, it doesn't put a nice_menu in the header instead of the usual theme menu.
For example at the top of this page primary links (Support, Handbooks etc...) can't expand. How to have nice menus instead of this classical menu ?
I know that there's something to do in page.tpl.php and template.php...
Something like in page.tlp.php add :
And in template.php:
But where exactly in this files (if this is correct anyway...) ?
How to adapt this easily with most themes ?
Thanks again for your answers.
Regards
You are right
Move the navigation around and you will see what happens.

I found a solution, i don't know if it's the sweetest one, tell it if you know something better.
In /modules/nice_menus/nice_menus.css add this:
The x menu (change x by the ID off your menu like block-nice_menus-1) is free to adapt its position with any screen resolution. It keeps its relative position set by top and left em units. Here it's 5, change as you want.
! Beware i've tested this only with firefox, konqueror and opera, i don't have IE but it seems that with this solution menus doesn't appear in IE. I don't know the solution for that.
It not working.
