dwwproject_release hasn't been ported *AT ALL*. Please look at project_release.info. See also http://3281d.com/2011/10/26/report-from-project-7-sprint

drummPrevious work has removed the dependency, and I can't find any leftover code referencing upload module. It still isn't working on D7, #1609382: Port release files with extra metadata to D7 is about building up a new way to keep track of files.
