Mailhandler provides an HTML source that can be mapped to a node body using Feeds Node Processor. The HTML source may have references to attached files such as <img src="temporary://attached-image.jpg">. Obviously, when the node is imported these links are broken - the file mapper relocates the attached file to the public files directory, but the node body still links to the temporary URI.

It seems to me that the best solution is for the file mapper to replace all occurrences of the temporary URI in the node body with the permanent URI. Is this possible?

Here's a working patch. Note that this only works if the file field is mapped AFTER the body in the Feeds Importer mapping configuration.

There's a Feeds Tamper plugin that will do this.
