Dear Drupalers,
I am doing a brief essay for a possible Master's research on how "conflicts and collaboration" are addressed in virtual communities and I would like to use drupal.org as study case.
Although I am a drupal user for quite a long time I do not know any case of conflics within DO, but I am sure that it is because I use and know a small part of the community. After all, considering the large number of members and the age of the community it's just a statistical matter that conflicts emerge. For this reason, I would like to know if any of you remember a significant example of conflict that would have taken place within this community and, even more interesting, how was it solved or not.
Additionally, sharing a significant example of collaboration would also be appreciated, but I guess this is far easier to find here ;)
Thank you very much,
Carlos

Thank you bojanz, I didn't know about this project. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this a project aimed at providing tools and processes to improve governance in opensource communities? That's really interesting! I am going to study thoroughfully, however, I was looking for certain examples of conclicts within drupal.org like spamming (Why I have never seen spam messages here?!), or arguments, or even disagreements with official drupal policies...
Edit: I have been reading a little bit more about it and it seems to me now that in fact it's a place to discuss about drupal's governance model. If I am not wrong it seems to me a bit confusing about why it's been created a project instead of a group or a forum. I guess it has to do with issues handling.
