I started a G+ Page called Drupal Hangouts for those who want to take IRC to the next level. G+ Hangouts are the next best thing to a real life meetup and may even be better in some regards because you can selectively share your screen.

This page is meant to be 100% community, if anyone else wants to also be an admin and host non-solicited Drupal Hangouts then contact me and I may give you admin access to the account. Then multiple people can host a hangout at various times. There could be hangouts that are very basic for the general public and also very deep for advanced devs. The hangouts could also feature various guests from time to time.
