I believe you haven't set up the 'Recipients' to have the submissions be sent to your email address. The location to configure this on my site is:

  1. 'Structure > Contact Form.'
  2. Then you will see 'Category' with the list of all the site-wide contact types you have set up. Choose the one that you want to configure then along the line click 'Edit' under 'Operations.'
  3. Go to 'Recipients' text field and type the email you want the submissions to go to.
  4. Click 'Save.'

I'm not sure if we have the same name of location but it should be similar to that. Hope this helps you. Thanks!

there is no "contact form" in structure, yet there is a contact form on the "contact us" node.

My apologies. May I know if your site is using a 'site wide contact form' or a 'webform module?' Because if you're using a webform module, then it is going to be a different approach. If it is the webeform module, here's how to configure the recipient's e-mail:

  1. Go to the 'Contact Us' page/node.
  2. Then you will see these tabs: 'View,' 'Edit,' 'Webform,' 'Results,' and 'Track'
  3. Click the 'Webform' tab and choose 'E-mails' (This is along with 'Form Components' and 'Form Settings')
  4. You will see a radio button that says 'Address.' Then you will have to put your desired e-mail recipient address onto the field (change 'email@example.com').
  5. Then hit 'Add.'
  6. A new window will appear with all the configurations and customizations that you can set up and use.
  7. Once you're done, click 'Save e-mail settings.'

Let me know if you got to change the e-mail recipient. Thanks!
