I needed the first and last classes added the the filter block unordered list.

I could have just added some logic to add the classes but thought it best we do it the Drupal way.

Please test my patch. (Works for me)

It would be really cool if the module maintainer could review and deal with this case. It's been open for 19 weeks and I have not heard a peep.
