Hi guys,

I know you are super busy and I wanna say thank you for your hard work, but I need your help.
I am using Drupal Core 7.18 and Organic Groups 7.x-2.0-rc1

My problem is:
I add new content as a group -> I add new group -> I add new content and define it to be bundled to a group defined before -> I create a content of the type of the content created in previous step, here is the problem:

in the list GROUPS AUDIENCE Your groups I expect to have "new group" defined earlier in step 2, but the list is empty,
Other groups autocomplete does not find other groups at all :(
I tried to change permissions for the group manager and grand all rights, still have the same issue.

Software Spec
--------------------
Using FireFox 17.01,
Acquia Dev Descktop 7.16.16 on Windows 7 Professional

Thanks in advance.
Best wishes,
Rov

I had the same issue. See http://drupal.org/node/1872136

Since no one had any suggestions, I tried installing OG on a fresh site with very few modules installed (Basically Devel, Views, and all the modules that OG depends on). This time I was able to see groups in the Groups Audience list.

So my guess is that some other module was interfering with the way OG worked.

What other modules do you have installed? I particularly suspect access control modules, as the two sites that we've tried OG on and failed have had Workbench Access or TAC Lite previously in use (although we disabled them before installing OG).

Maybe we can figure this out together, as I'd love to get OG working on my actual site instead of just a minimal test site!

Hi valsgalore,

Thank you for reply, appreciate it. I almost pulled my hear after many attempts and re-installs and still with empty groups audience drop down menu.

For now I am trying to do some other staff to meet project deadlines, but I would be glad to work with you on identifying modules that break OG.

I had about 120 modules, but I have disabled OG for now and trying to work around without it.
Still would be nice to find out what causes the problem and use OG as it helps a lot with content distribution across different users.

I will do a fresh install and will add modules I have now one by one and will let you know how it goes.
I also suspect profile 2 module as a cause of the problem, but I am not sure :)

Best wishes,
Rov

Hello,

It works now :) I think it has to do with other OG modules I used/enabled with OG 7.2-rc1
Now I use OG module only and it works like a sharm.

Before I used:

comment_og;
og_extras;
og_homepage;
og_theme;
og_vocab;
og_workflow;
views_og_cache.

Possibly one of those gave me the problem. Also it is possible that I played to much in OG setting, especially with Strict node access permissions, it is disabled now and the OG works.

Also I have enabled the following module fields:

Content Access;
Content Access Rules Integrations;
Permission Select;
Organic groups access control;
Organic groups register;
Profile2;
and other non related modules :)

I hope that helps to some of you.
I am attaching the list of all modules enabled/disabled on my Drupal installation if some one needs it ;)

Best wishes,
Rovshen

Guys and please, allow attaching .DOC types ;)
