More specifically, I propose we take voluntary donations during online registration beyond our low registration price, for the Ada Initiative. To avoid proposing work for others to do, I'll volunteer to take on whatever additional work this would create, as much as that's helpful. I expect it would involve adding a donation field to the registration form, running a report to determine the total we received in donations, and making sure we send a check in that amount.

I'm thinking you didn't mean to change the issue title, so changing that back. Thanks for pointing out the processing fee. I think that's probably fine, as long as we make that clear to donors. We could also maybe get someone (maybe me, though I can't commit to it yet) to cover the processing fees.

We could also see about just encouraging direct donations to the ada initiative site instead of integrating it in our flow, but integrating it seems like a nice idea to increase the likelihood people would do it (and so we could do something like a different color on badges for folks who gave something).

I'm +1 on the idea.
