Drupal 6 Support announcement

I've recently taken up the mantle of maintaining the CMIS API project and am actively fixing bugs, merging gratefully received patches and ultimately have the aim of building on the project to extend the current functionality.

My work on the project has been exclusively with the 7.x branch and I'd like to continue to improve this and start thinking about an 8.x branch to launch around the same time as Drupal 8, I have very limited time to spend on this project and unfortunately it's not viable to support the 6.x version of the branch.

If someone in the community would like to take over and step in to fix the existing bugs and then build in the new features as the arrive in 7.x, please reply here and we can work out how to move forward.

I'll leave this thread and the 6.x bugs open until May 1st 2013, if there hasn't been an interest in taking on the maintenance I'll remove the 6.x from the recommended downloads and close the existing bugs off. Hopefully someone's feeling keen.
