Proposal for group: Göteborg [#1989774]

Since the description for the new Göteborg group is in Swedish, I thought I should file an issue here and describe in English what is about. Hoping that will make the approval process simpler.

This group simply is for the local Gothenburg Drupal community to help us organize things, including the yearly DrupalCamp Gothenburg and other events and meetings. Manager is tsvenson (http://groups.drupal.org/user/30497) and co-organizers are AdamEvertsson (http://groups.drupal.org/user/218869) and adnasa (http://groups.drupal.org/user/274249). All three are Drupal users heavily involved in growing the local community in Gothenburg.

There is no overlapping group existing. The closest to it is http://groups.drupal.org/sweden, however that is group for the whole country and the majority of activity in it is of support nature. We needed a group that was much more focused on the local needs in Gothenburg.

Hope this helps explaining why this group should be approved, if not let me know if anything is unclear and I will try and explain it better.

Thanks @sreynen.

We have DrupalCamp Gothenburg next Saturday so it would be awesome to have the group approved by then. Particularly as we have both sessions and I also have a BoF with the local community in focus.

Would then be great to point attendees to an officially approved g.d.o group as our main home.

It is now more than 4 months since this group was created and it has already plenty of activity. We have even had a few events and new ones are scheduled. As requested a long time ago, there is also an English description added.

It has now also come to my attention that the:

The post has been submitted for moderation and won't be listed publicly until it has been approved.

message at the top of the main group page is very confusing for people coming to the group. They believe there is something wrong, especially since they haven't posted anything yet.

Most of them take this as this group is not ready yet and thus don't join it. And that's only those few how have made noise about this.

This is for us a critical problem as the main purpose of this group is to promote the local Drupal community in Gothenburg. Something that is very much needed and that we already have begin to see a success with.

We would be very grateful if a g.d.o admin please can point out if there is anything else we need to do to get this group accepted. If not, it would be awesome if it can be promoted so that confusion message is gone and the group also is officially listed.
