I am using Simple Hierarchical Select exposed filters on a View page. They load rather slowly, so I was pleased to see this module. However, the filters disappear after the last installation step - adding the rewrite rules to my .htaccess file. (I refresh my page and the filters are gone. Before that point, they just continue to load slowly.) I tried version 7.x-1.0-beta2+2-dev also, but the result was no different.

In answer to your question in case it is not clear above - the filters disappear upon initial page load, so there is no possibility of making a first selection and proceeding through the levels of the hierarchy to filter the view.

I haven't had the time yet to reproduce it but it seems it's not necessary anymore, thanks @Khalor for reporting that it's fixed in the SHS module.

This is still an issue - I have just had the exact same thing happen to me when attempting to install this module to speed up the latest version of simple heirarchical select.

I tried using the dev version of shs with no luck as that breaks my view - however it does seem to be an shs issue rather than a problem with this module as there is a good discussion over there at https://www.drupal.org/node/2184279
