Whenever a user logs in on my site, I get the error "failed to load existing drupal_role object" in watchdog. I found that this was because on the admin/config/people/ldap/authorization page ("LDAP Authorization Configurations"), there was no configuration added for the ldap_authorization_drupal_role/drupal role row.

Once I added a configuration, the error went away.

Closing this since it's only a UX issue and proper configuration fixes this. Patches would be welcome but this is no longer relevant in 8, thus closing.
