With smoothHeight on and in Firefox 22.0, when I resize the browser window quickly and let go of the mouse button before the animation finishes, the Flexslider has an incorrect size. For resizing smaller, there is a noticeable gap beneath the slider. For resizing bigger, the slider height is cut short.

  • As soon as I start resizing again, the size adjusts to what it should be in both cases.
  • When the slide automatically changes, the size also adjusts to what it should be.

Resize smaller, creates a gap underneath slider:

Resize bigger, slider height is cut short:

After some Googling, I read that Firefox apparently has some issues with Flexslider. I tested this problem on Chromium and it does not occur there.

I listed this as a Flex Slider Library problem because the problem exists on the Flex Slider Smooth Height Demo page as well:

Anybody have any suggestions or ideas?

thanks,

Have you checked the issue queue for FlexSlider itself on GitHub? https://github.com/woothemes/flexslider

This is the post I found that is most closely-related (also a Firefox only problem):

https://github.com/woothemes/FlexSlider/issues/280

I haven't tried the solution offered by mydom because I'm not sure exactly where this code should go.

Sadly there's not much I can do. We'll just have to wait for a fix to be rolled into the library.

This is likely outdated since many versions of the library and module have been released since then. Feel free to re-open if not.
