At least one critical issue (https://drupal.org/node/1794482) that prevents Feeds Tamper from working with the latest stable release of Feeds has been fixed in -dev.

The latest release of Feeds Tamper is 1.0-beta4, from October, 2012.

For many and varying reasons, people and institutions are reluctant to install -dev versions of modules.

Can a brother get a point release?
