Remove button doesn't work

I've installed this module with a fresh D7.23 installation. The button does appear on the screen for each field in multiple field entry, however when I click it for a filled field nothing happens, value remains in the field and filled field itself remains on the screen, even after saving the entity the same field filled with value remains appearing on the entry screen for the entity (checked for Text field-'unlimited' on Article node, as an example).
This feature is supposed to be very useful and would have been natural for the core functionality, so this is a very useful effort to bridge the gap.
