When discussing the display objects that Panelizer manages, I've found it confuses people less to call each one a "display" or "Panelizer display" rather than "panel" as the latter word makes people think of Panels.

I think "display" is a proper terminology. Especially considering the discussion for the "Panelier" tab (#1812658: More descriptive name for "Panelizer" tab.) I believe this is how we refer to it internally as well.

Might be good to reach out to the Open Atrium folks and see their input, as they rely heavily on Panelizer.
