Now that #1820882: Make node revisions use the node_view display is in, I'm considering bumping the requirements to CTools 7.x-1.6, just to remove that "WTF" moment when the node revision looks "broken".

I say, fire away. If revision issues are solved in ctools, then definitely we should incorporate. Only thing I can think of is that Panopoly isn't yet using either version. But I doubt that'll be for long.
