aegir 1.12 and 2.1 releases

I made some fixes so that 1.x can at least install on Apache 2.4, see #2155705: [meta] Support Apache 2.4 (Ubuntu Saucy, Debian Jessie) for dependent issues.

For this to make sense, we should probably roll out 2.1 as well, however.

I probably won't have time to complete this today, if anyone wants to take any piece of this task, please go ahead.

Alright, it seems that the SSL issues are unreproduceable, and I don't think we should delay 2.1 for SNI support.

1.12 would introduce a regression that modalframe stops working, but it degenerates well, and besides 1.11 is simply uninstallable right now, so I think it's a good compromise. The release notes should probably mention that 1.12 would be the last release.

So we just need to roll this out - anyone disagrees?

i'm in the process of releasing 1.12

1.12 is more or less released now - i pushed the tags and built debian packages on jenkins. i tested the upgrade on our test server, and it went fine after i pushed a hotfix for the makefile to use http instead of https, because wget fails to verify googlecode.com for some reason.

just need to push the relnotes and relnodes now.

next step is the 2.1 release, for which we'll send an announcement on twitter and the mailing list for both releases at the same time...

i pushed the release notes for 1.12, and the release node for provision 1.12, but d.o can't seem to find our 1.12 tag for hostmaster.

i'm giving up on that, anyways it's not being used by the install scripts.

thanks! i think that, short of the 1.12 release node for hostmaster, we are pretty much done here. furthermore, the hostmaster node isn't necessary for the release, i believe, so i'll close this.
