Great module! One thing i think would make it even more powerful is to be able to turn fields on/off for display through the UI. The use case would be to have one view with say 20 available fields and have flexibility at the node level using your module to set those filters as variation of the view. This module: https://drupal.org/project/views_dynamic_fields is doing what i'm referring to however it doesn't seem to work with Field Embed Views as it only works as an exposed filter in a page or content pane. Seems like same ideas could be implemented though...

Recent updates to Views Dynamic Fields module seem to now be functional within Field Embed Views. Noted with example in this post: https://www.drupal.org/node/2303017
