Could the 'simple' message function -ie the system that displays mesages under a user tab - be outputted as a view or as a block.

It would be great to have these messages appear on another page of the website so the user didn't have to navigate to them and they were instead displayed on a block in the home page etc.

If they were outputted as a view then it would be possible to display this view as a block and achieve the aim.
