the whole YUI lib is a beast... instructions could be better and you dont even need the whole lib for 'editor' only setting. that will save server space and possible fasten the way menu works

Would not be better if the developer or someone can edit the INSTALL.txt and/or Module
please correct if you see any mistake or improve the text below

document instructions could be something like this;

- to use local YUI editor
download the YUI lib from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/yui/

create a folder name it to 'lib' on your Drupal files folder as below
files/lib
upload 'build/editor' folder inside the 'lib' folder
so the final directory structure will be

files/lib/editor/~all documents goes here inside the editor dir.
and a screenshot

- same also can be done for yui_calendar.module, yuimenu.module
just to make life easy to people and reduce time and forum support requests here

~thanks

Great suggestion, i would like to see this implemented.
however i believe there are some more files that are needed except the ones in editor/, for example button/ menu/ and container/ someone should figure out exactly what files are needed though.

What I'll probably do is make some JING videos that show how to install the module (either hosted or local libs). And then post the url on the project homepage. I think that will help a lot more than a textual description.

If anyone wants to do this, then send me the link when you are done and I'll post it for everyone to see. Please do a good job though cuz otherwise I won't accept it. And cover both local and hosted installation types.

Thanks.

I went ahead and created two jing videos that are linked off of the project page showing how to install and how to install the yui library.

I also updated the readme/install files and will be releasing a minor update to 5.x and 6.x downloads shortly.

Hello, thanx for giving these more detailed instruction, ica. Although I watched the video, i felt much more confident to following your written steps. I'd vote for including this in the INSTALL.txt, as this is the first place where I look for instructions...

Hi Stefan, I am glad my 'instructions' helped. I am not good in writing instructions documents properly. It took me a while to figure out what exact files of the YUI library actually needed as the full YUI lib it too large in size -and its for a reason for out of the Yahoo 'bakery' for developers. But it can and should be 'stripped down' for -particular usage only version. I thought i should write my notes -it maybe help others or someone might write up a better 'instructions' than mine.

Where are these links to Jing videos? Are they still on project page?
