Dries Buytaert, the founder of the Drupal project, has a Drupal sites category on his blog. He highlights a lot of the "big name" Drupal sites there.

If you need to convince managers at your company (or just yourself), here are some of the big names, to save you some time:

* Belgium's government
* Discover Magazine (90% certain on this one)
* Popular Science
* The Onion
* Lifetime

There are a number of other sites for famous companies/organizations/individuals, but they aren't as impressive in scope, in my opinion, as these.
