Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
It would be great if the project usage table showed each module's rank, as well as the module's trend; e.g. using up or down arrows along with the number of places it moved up or down (e.g. "up 5 places" or "down 7 places" since 30 days ago).

drewish CreditAttribution: drewish commentedIt seems like there would be two separate rankings based on usage:
* Overall ranking (for all API versions)
* Per-API version rankings (2nd most popular 5.x module, 49th most popular 6.x module)
These would be per-week so you could compare the week to week changes.

dww#450342: Add column for "count/position" of project within usage stats marked duplicate.

webchickSo.. is it not possible to separate out the two intertwined features in here?
Adding another column to the table for rank with a counter is about 4 lines of code, I'm guessing. Tracking movers and shakers by adding fields to store a module's rank over time and comparing/contrasting them is quite a bit more complex.
I'd love it if we could re-open #450342: Add column for "count/position" of project within usage stats (which is useful all by itself) and leave this issue as the more complex, sourceforge-esque version of the future.

smokris#450342: Add column for "count/position" of project within usage stats is done. Cool.
@Dries's mockup link in #1 is dead — is https://infrastructure.drupal.org/drupal.org-style-guide/prototype/modul... the same mockup he was referencing?
Comment #9
webchickNo. :( His mock was basically a green box that had a bunch of text in it like "This is one of the top used modules, etc." https://infrastructure.drupal.org/drupal.org-style-guide/prototype/modul... is definitely much more full-featured.
Tagging.

mgiffordI'm moving this issue and tagging it.
I do think that this is another way to highlight the status of a module. To give it a Top 10 download of the week award or provide some prizes based on it's popularity.
Was interesting to see which modules are in the top 100.

mgiffordSorry, I'm moving this back... I think I was wrong in moving it away in February. It was tagged Drupal.org priority in 2012 though.

current process is different, and https://www.drupal.org/roadmap has the priorities
