Just tried installing Drupal 6.8 with Safari 2.0.4 on Mac OS X 10.4.10 and the Drupal installer crashed the browser at the database configuration step.

This happened to me last weekend with a Drupal 6.9 install on a different computer with the same version of Safari on OS X 10.4.10. I don't know if this is related to #208179 or not.

Marking critical since this makes installing Drupal impossible and requires dropping the database and resetting settings.php to continue.
