It's possible to edit one's own job posts on groups.drupal.org, but why isn't it possible to delete them?

christefano commentedIs it really necessary to change the punctuation of these issues? I'm getting a lot of email notifications and none of them add any additional value.

gregglesFor what it's worth, I don't think we should allow deleting jobs. I like having the archive information available.
We do occasionally get a request to delete a job so people will no longer get inquiries about it.
Some alternatives:
1. Let job authors mark jobs as "open" or "closed" - when a job is closed remove it from the different listings on the site and give it some theme treatment to make that really obvious.
2. Put the "contact information" into a separate cck field and hide that when a job is "closed" we hide the contact info
3. Let job authors unpublish their own jobs, that way the historic information is still around so we can still create the analysis but the information isn't public to the world and bringing unwanted contacts to the original author
On the topic of changing punctuation and issue metadata, I agree that it's not useful enough to be worth the extra mail-noise that it creates. @Kiamlaluno, if you could restrain yourself to only fix the titles/metadata to times where you also provide your feedback on an issue I think that would be great.

avpadernoTo add a comment is the only way to subscribe to a issue report. I prefer to change the punctuaction than to write in a comment (which doesn't add anything useful too).

lisarex commentedI like the idea of job posters being able to mark the job as "closed" with a note that "closed" jobs are automatically unpublished after 30 days.
This a) allows job seekers to see that the job they applied for is now closed
and b) will remove irrelevant/unavailable job posting from searches

gregglesBetter title.
