If I plan to build a food reviews website, shall I start with Drupal or buy available Yelp clone script (example at http://www.meeplace.com/showcases/)?
I am not tech savy but I am welling to learn Drupal, after about half year I still do not have production site up. What is the advantage of using Drupal over ready available clone script?

When you buy proprietary
When you buy proprietary software you usually lose the ability to customize it.
Encrypted source files, no documentation, and reliance on a single point of failure support service.
I guess it boils down to your proficiency and willingness to invest the time it takes to learn the system enough to do what you want to accomplish.
If you really just want to get a site off the ground without the hassle of building it yourself then you may be suited for proprietary software. Just be warned - nothing is without its downsides.
If you are interested in using Drupal but need a little more personal support perhaps you should take a look at Acquia.
I am just get to know with
I am just get to know with such service, I visited http://acquia.com/product-matrix and look like the Basic plan is suitable for my budget. I am from Malaysia and mainly to build a site to serve Malaysians, is that server hosted at oversea will cause slow down of page access? I will post question to Acquia later.
There is actually a Drupal
There is actually a Drupal prebuilt package for Yelp clone, you can find it here: Yelp clone package for Drupal
You can base on this package and develop more custom features.

Limitations of Readymade 3rd Party Clone Scripts
3rd party readymade scripts have limitations. I found so many readymade scripts but those have not full functionality, you would find large number of bugs not fixed with readymade scripts. There are also other limitations of readymade scripts such as,
- Most of readymade scripts are encrypted so you may not allowed to customize you site.
- Ready made scripts cannot provide 100% copyright and ownership to your website.
- Scripts are not robust, scalable and user friendly.
- After buying Clone Script you will find lots of problems and No support will be provided by script providers.
- I suggest you to go for either with Drupal or custom development if you want more dynamic and user friendly website.
Pros and Cons of Readymade Yelp Clone Script
Readymade Clone scripts does have both pros and cons. They might not contain all the features but you can to get it customized food review website, I recommend you to visit Yelp Clone from NCrypted as per your requirements this might save a lot of time required for a complete website development.
