I am receiving a error and my coder insist its a problem with my hosting but i cant help but ask here first for confirmation. im sure you guys have received the following error on previous occasions but i cant find the answer yet on forums:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Okay, first of all, your post is very vague.

I currently have a site up using drupal, yet i havnt done the coding

No, Dries and many other folks have done the coding. What else do you mean by this?

Secondly, what were you doing to produce that error? No way for any to try to help troubleshoot without more about the steps that you were taking when error occurred.

And, lastly, go get a free GoDaddy account (or some other server) and install Drupal. See if the same error occurs. Will help you troubleshoot.

I get the same 500 internal server error message from my two Drupal websites. One is a paid account and the other is a free account. My current host is Godaddy. Any help?

*sigh* You've provided no detail about what triggers the error message. (Even after I told you that was necessary.) This is why no one else has tried to help you.

You get that error whenever you click SAVE on any page.

There are many things that can cause a 500/Internal Server error. Read http://www.catskilltech.com/freeSW/SMF/faqs > "500 (Internal Server) Errors" for a list of things to check.
