Currently the default formatter for 'Text with summary' fields is 'summary or trimmed' (like used in teasers).
Makes non sense, the default formatter should be 'text_default' (full text), like other text field types.
(found while debugging #896162: Field UI 'formatter settings' form broken )

webchickYeah, that is weird.
Does that cause "body" fields in new nodes to be default text fields rather than summary/full view? That's the only thing i can think of.
yched commentedThat currently causes fields of type 'text_with_summary' added through Field UI to be, by default, displayed on 'full node' as 'summary_or_trimmed' (which is rather what you'd use for a short version) rather than 'text_default' (full text).
This does not affect the 'body' field, because that one is created programmatically through node_add_body_field(), which specifies explicit display settings.

moshe weitzman commentedseems like a no-brainer to me.
