Data selector contains unencoded html

When I bring up the data selector, each item in the list is rendered with html code, see pic. Fortunately once an item is selected, it appears in the text box correctly.

There aren't any glaring issues regarding the install, but I can't rule out the possibility of lower level server issues yet. In any event, your advice tracking down the issue from here or within the module would be much appreciated.
