Change

<br style="clear:both" />

to instead be

<br class="clear" />

Optionally you could make the class a unique name a then add a clear:both directive for it in project.css

The reason I make this request is in the theme I use, having a "clear:both" in the content breaks the theme. If you used styles instead of inline markup the one can easily override with the theme css.

If you will accept this change I will roll a quick patch. Thanks.

Sure, I'd accept such a patch. I think core even has such a class already defined in the default CSS, so we probably don't even need anything in project.css for this.

Core has something similar, but not quite there (from modules/system/defaults.css):

/*
** Markup free clearing
** Details: http://www.positioniseverything.net/easyclearing.html
*/
.clear-block:after {
  content: ".";
  display: block;
  height: 0;
  clear: both;
  visibility: hidden;
}

.clear-block {
  display: inline-block;
}

/* Hides from IE-mac \*/
* html .clear-block {
  height: 1%;
}
.clear-block {
  display: block;
}

Here is a patch against latest dev. I went with "project-clear" to prevent possible namespace issues.
