Flipping Book

Summary

This module provides an integration point between Drupal7 and FlippingBook (http://flippingbook.com/).
Flippingbook is a very used software to make digital publication from any document you have (.doc, .pdf...).

Drupal 7 version

This module handles your flippingbook file, giving you a comfortably control panel in which you can upload the classic .zip file exported by Flippingbook software after digitalization. Every file imported will be unpacked into a public://flipping_book directory in you files folder (usually sites/default/files).

Enabling the submodule flipping_book_reference, in bundle in this package, you can add a flippingbook reference field to your fieldable entity (nodes, users, taxonomy,...) choosing the field widget you prefer and what kind of display you want of this field. Colorbox is just supported.

• Title with or without link to the flippingbook

• Colorbox link (you need colorbox module enabled and "colorbox_load" variable checked)

How to use it

1. Enable flipping_book and flipping_book_reference modules
2. Add and manage your flippingbooks from admin/config/media/flipping_book directory
3. Add a Flipping Book Reference field to your content type
4. Choose the Field widget and the Field display format you prefer
5. Enjoy it!

Drupal 8 version

In Drupal 8, Flipping books are entities. Once the module has been installed, go
to "/admin/structure/flipping-book" to create a new Flipping Book bundle choosing
a label and the import location (eg. private or public files directory).

If you choose "Private folder", remember to grant specific access permissions to the roles allowed to see them.

A list of all flipping books is available at "/admin/content/flipping-book".

Flipping books can be referenced via core Entity Reference field, by choosing
"Other" from the entity types selection list.
