Drupal 6.x

Hello all... I have just got back into using a CMS and I am looking back into Drupal. What I am wondering... has theme's changed at all for v6.x compared to v5.X? Wondering if I need to crack open the old v5 doc's or should I start from scratch with v6. And if v6 is different... will I have to worry about it later if it might change

I cannot understand how to configure a D6 site to be a multilingual site. I tried to translate a node (simple page) in 3 languages and publish them to front page but all the translated nodes are displayed on the front page.

I am writing a module that should act similar to PHPTemplate in path/url-processing (you know: node-21.tpl.php).
Where can I find the code-snippets/functions of PHPTemplate that handles these things? I want to inspire myself by these code-snippets ;)
