Bio:

Doug is a primarily backend PHP programmer/web developer with DevOps experience seeking a new role. Full resume available on request.

Doug has been building websites since fifth grade, when he began teaching himself HTML and CSS. He has been working with Drupal since 2009 and has experience as a Drupal developer, build manager, and support and development web help desk lead, which grew 300% under his guidance.

Doug is interested in Release Management, programming outside of Drupal, promoting a culture of good process, sustainable development, documentation, training, food, working out, and running.

As a programmer, he provided support and develops new features for PMMI Media Group's many innovative platforms, many of which use the Yii framework.

As a Drupal Developer, he has worked on custom modules, has led site building and migration portions of projects, and has trained clients on how to use their site.

As Build Manager at Promet Source, he worked with senior solution architects to assemble, document, disseminate, and support a best practices versions of internal tools and processes relating to operations, development, and QA (DevOps).

Prior to Promet Source, Doug worked at Grinnell College, where he served in a senior development position within their Web Services Department. In this position, Doug founded the “Web Help Desk” which grew 300% under his guidance. He also devised and conducted training programs for both site editors and student developers.

He has also been part of BuildAModule’s Mentored Training, co-lead Behavior Driven Development with Behat Training, and spoken at camps and conferences (including DrupalCon North America, DrupalCon Latin America, MidCamp, and DrupalCorn).

When he’s not being an awesome web developer/programmer, Doug enjoys reading, cooking, working out, and running.
