My View with Views Accordion style is working fine for me when I view the Page display at its URL and when I enable the Block display to show up in a sidebar or anywhere else, BUT, when I add it to a node as a View Reference field, a View field, or by using Insert View to put it right into a node's body, the output looks just like a regular Unformatted-style display. The results are the same whether I use Arguments or not. Sometimes I also get a link that says "Stop" at the top of the problematic View results (and if I click, it becomes "Start") -- seems like this could be something to do with the "Cycle" option, but I'm not using that at all, and nothing changes (the results just look like a regular Unformatted-style display, with this link at the top).
Not sure if this is related, but I had a similar issue when I first tried using Views Accordion -- all I got were results lists that looked like the regular Unformatted-style display (with a link "Stop" at the top but nothing changing) until I selected a Grouping Field from the Views Accordion - Style options, and checked the box to "Use the group header as the accordion header". I had "Use grouping" disabled for the View, so I thought maybe I had to use some type of field grouping for the Accordion to work, and felt okay when it started to work after I did the grouping thing in the Accordion - Style options.
I'm using Drupal 6.20, Views 6.x-3.x-dev (01-20-2011), and the latest versions of the other modules I mentioned (and CCK).
Please let me know what other details would be helpful for troubleshooting. This is pretty urgent but I didn't want to make it a "major" priority since I figure it's probably my fault anyway, not the module's...

alisonAny ideas? Anyone else experiencing this? (Could be related to http://drupal.org/node/1047842, I really don't know.) I realize this sounds random and/or strange, and I imagine additional details would be helpful -- I'd be more than happy to provide additional details, please just let me know what would be helpful. Turns out I only run into this problem when I display my field as a block (with CCK Blocks). When the field gets spit out with the rest of the node like normal, it seems to work perfectly fine. When I use CCK Blocks to display this View Reference field, I get the funky, broken display described in my initial post.
Attached is a "redacted" screenshot of what I'm seeing when I display my View Reference (views accordion display) field as a block using CCK Blocks.

talatnat commentedalisonjo2786 : Check this out: http://drupal.org/node/403916 . It appears to be a bug, but maybe not in VA, since Manuel did not have a problem with Viewreference module.
Incidentally, I was using Views Attach and did NOT have a problem for months -- then yesterday, the attached display started to have the Stop / Start problem. So, I am also looking for a solution.

alisonThanks for the response, talatnat. Interesting; I wouldn't be surprised if all the problems we're experiencing (yours with Views Attach, me with Viewreference/Viewfield/Insert View/CCK Blocks, and the two users on that other issue thread) are related. When the problem happened to me, no cycling actually happened (even when I clicked start/stop), and the view never disappeared completely for me (as design.er described) -- but the situations seem too similar NOT to be related.
(I uninstalled View Field after encountering the same problem as with Viewreference so I haven't tried using View Field without CCK Blocks the way I have with Viewreference.)
At least we're not alone :) For now I'm going to stick with using Viewreference (without displaying the field through CCK Blocks), even though it's tough to print the field exactly where I want it to be, at least it's functional this way. Here's hoping you/we/someone figures something out...

I did not use it, but re-did all my views, and the errors got fixed -- for now, at least.
