After moving the spelling guidance into the Style guideline yesterday, I re-wrote the page as Joining the documentation team. Your editing of the page and close-out of this issue submission is invited.

Also, though I can change the parent of a page, I can't alter its weight. I recommend moving this one up, so that it is first under "Contributing."

Made one change: ppl to "submit issue" vice "e-mail list" to request to join. A request to join is an actionable item, and secondly, e-mail list items seem to slip through the cracks. Also note that Paul Melnikow made his request yesterday on the mail list. http://lists.drupal.org/archives/documentation/2007-01/msg00200.html
