For a long time I could not figure out how to resize on upload, then I realized image resolution was the actual size to configure.

The two words are very different - resolution has to do with the quality of the image whereas size has to do with the dimensions.

It should be changed to Maximum image size don't you think ?

I actually think "dimension" should be used. "Size" could also be misconstrued as meaning 'file size.' (So: "Maximum image dimension" would be what I'd like to see.)

When I started learning all of the image modules, I was tripped up by thinking 'resolution' meant image quality.

Title: Rename Maximum image resolution: to Maximum image size: » Update "Maximum image resolution" to read "Maximum image dimensions"
Version: 6.x-2.1 » 6.x-2.x-dev
Category: feature » task

Renaming the issue to match the request. "Dimensions" also preferred in:
#1215784: Terminology update: don't say "Resolution" when we mean "Dimensions" (ImageField module)
#1215730: Terminology update: don't say "Resolution" when we mean "Dimensions" (Drupal core - image module)
