I'd be nice being able to automatically have TinyMCE use different configurations/profiles for different kinds of content. There have been a couple of requests asking for something similar... Maybe one could figure out a common solution for all of these requests.

This is one is asking for the same but according to roles instead of the kind of content:

What I'm looking for is pretty much the same as these requests do, but not only an ability disable/enable TinyMCE according to node type, but even an ability to choose a TinyMCE configuration according to node type:

These have other ideas of how one could enable/disable TinyMCE, but would just doing it according to the node type be the best approach? Maybe multiple ways would be useful?
