Hi there, in order to be listed in the Services directory, we need information on what your company has been contributing back to the project. You mention training, theme, and module development. Are there modules, themes and/or documentation you could cite that your company has sponsored and put back out into drupal.org?

Please see http://drupal.org/drupal-services for more info on this requirement.

Please make up your mind - are you guys BPO Canada or Gloscon?

bpocanada’s picture

1) Our Gloscon - rebranding is delayed for now. We switched our CVS account from bpocanada to gloscon early on since we had issues on submiting modules from bpocanada CVS account.
2) We are maintaining ePublish
3) We have contributed subdomain_manager module
4) We will be contributing Creative Commons Lite and node_blaster module this week.

We are also promoting Drupal CMS and at the same time helping more developers get trained in Drupal. http://groups.drupal.org/ahmedabad We'll certainly review other companies in the list and do our best to bridge the gaps.

What would be the next step to get listed?

I see that you have made several commits keeping epublish up to date. http://drupal.org/project/cvs/31019 However, please note the proper format for cvs commit messages.

For the http://drupal.org/project/node_blaster project a better description would be helpful (I have no idea what it does) and you should create a release of the module.

In http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/contributions/modules/creativecommo... the LICENSE.txt should be removed. That instruction is described in the CVS FAQ http://cvs.drupal.org/viewcvs/drupal/contributions/FAQ.txt?rev=1.7&view=...

It's quite disappointing to me to see http://drupal.org/project/creativecommons_lite where you have "simplified" the module, only have a 4.7 release, don't clarify what was simplified, and from my review of http://drupal.org/project/issues/creativecommons you didn't submit issues to cooperatively help reduce the complexity the original project. Instead you just forked without an attempt at collaboration.

Among the new modules that you created it looks like they are all contributed well after the release of 5.x but only have 4.7 versions and have only had a 1.1 revision - i.e. they don't seem to be maintained.

There isn't really a set documented level of contribution effort that you have to make to get listed on the services directory. Lots of site maintainers can make this change, so it's up to one of them to want to do it.

However, you haven't really demonstrated a good working interaction with the Drupal project. I imagine that this lack of a good interaction has resulted in a lukewarm response to your request to be added which means that so far nobody has been willing to add your company. Luckily it's relatively easy to fix the things I pointed out above at which point I imagine someone will want to add you. Perhaps it could happen sooner. But I won't do it personally without seeing a more clear indication that you contribute to the community (based on things like code, help in the forums/mailing lists, or contributed handbook pages).

One last note - your profile page looks like an seo experiment gone bad - http://drupal.org/user/75934 You're interested in "Joint Ventures", "Acting as Advisor" and your own phone numbers?

Thanks for the inputs Greg Will upgrade all modules to 5.1 in 1 week and also update the project text.

as i mentioned at http://drupal.org/node/143916 -- i, too, am concerned about the "creativecommons_lite" project. this seems like a needless fork. my inclination would be to unpublish this project entirely, but maybe i'm being too harsh.

furthermore, we frown upon the practice of sharing a single d.o and/or CVS account among many users. this causes all sorts of problems. each of you (i have no idea how many people "we" refers to) should make your own accounts and use those, instead of sharing an account, since it makes it impossible to hold people accountable for their actions, etc.

It's not an examination to mark the answers and pass out. The selection is based on popularity, a other factors which marks the "nobels". And you could get rid of "We"? ^_^

http://drupal.org/node/35528 - also contributed CC 4.7 upgrade patch but our client wanted a simplified version. I had contacted Peter and left few messages but never got a call back. We ended up building this from scratch. This is a very light simlified version and can be very useful.

I'm sure that I can have someone from my team work with Peter and see how we can rationalize rather than have 2 versions.

I'm fine if at all, this needs to be unpublished. I just thought it would help others who want a simpler module and hence contributed. Before writing this 'Lite' version, I had tried all options.
