in OG, on the settings page, you must exclude at least one node type from the "Audience targetting system. " (also a typo there).

Attached patch fixes typo and allows to be excluded.

perhaps it isn't friendly, but you can CTRL click an option to deselect it until there are no selected options. not sure this patch is needed (i could be convinced) ... i would however like to consolidate the group node type and omitted node type form elements so you can't make a non sensical combination.
