Hello,

I've attached an up-to-date German translation file for Simplenews. It uses the template derived from the 5.x-1.x-dev snapshot of 8 May using the potx template extractor. The file translates 217 out of 223 phrases.

Please check into CVS if you find it useful.

Have you used the existing German translation and/or is your translation supported by other German translators (http://drupal.org/node/92458)?
I see significant differences between you translation and the existing one.

Yes, I merged the existing de.po file into my empty file before commencing. Some of the existing translations have been changed, mostly in order to increase consistency.

I was unaware of that other page, so if there are active maintainers of de.po feel free to forward my file to them (or tell me to do so myself).

If you find people supporting your translation I will be happy to commit it. If there are people active with German translations do contact them or use German Drupal forums to call for support.

Thanks for contributing to the translation of this module. Please do contract one of the German translation coordinators to commit this translation. I can not judge the quality of the translation.
I close this issue since the simplenews maintainers I cannot help you with this at all.
