Thanks for submitting this issue. Let me know if this -- http://drupal.org/node/146533#comment-249487 -- fixes the problem for you. The code still needs to be fixed to not require the jQuery stuff.

Setting this to "won't fix" because newer versions of the module require (via nodeorder.info) the jQuery Interface Sortable module.
