It would be useful on sites where multiple people contribute weblinks if the module would check for duplicate URLs within the existing weblinks.
Thanks for the cool module.

summit commentedHi,
May be stupid question, sorry for that than, but will this module be integrated with links_package anywhere down the road?
This thing of duplicate url checking would be nice to have in links_weblink.module also, thats why I ask.
Greetings,
Martijn

rmiddle commentedMartjin,
I have never looked at the links module I have no idea how close the two are. I am not against a merge of the two but as of now have no plans for a merge.
Thanks
Robert.

nancydruSee #285699: Comparison to Links Package Your help in writing a comparison would go a long way to getting this started.
summit commentedIt would be already great if the input from both modules would be possible to output also by both.
Now when I make link through weblink nodetype (links_weblink.module) it is differently understand than the weblinks nodetype.
Why not integrate weblinks as using the same database tables as links_weblink. Or the other way around?
Greetings,
Martijn
Comment #12
rmiddle commentedChanges are the databases have diff names. There is zero coordination between these two modules I only found out that links_weblink even exists in the last few weeks. At some point I might download and look though there code but from there page it looks like they took a fork on weblinks during the dead times and created a fork.
Thanks
Robert

summit commentedHi Robert,
Thanks for your reply again. I am using links_weblink and like the functionality. Thanks for looking through the code some point, maybe, will look at web links 5 also. May be possible some point in time otherwise script to make links_weblink content into weblinks content. But for now thanks for your answer.
greetings,
Martijn
