New formatter called "A random image from Brilliant Gallery" - for pages or views where you need to show just one random image from a/each gallery. Put your gallery / Picasa RSS / Google+ album path in an entity text field and choose the formatter in your view mode, or in Views. An excellent method for creating a lively list of examples from all your galleries in one view (for an example, see http://vacilando.org/galleries).
Support for a text field formatter! A new option for showing galleries -- just add a text field to any content type, select formatter "Brilliant Gallery"! In this field then enter any of your local gallery paths, a Picasa RSS link or a Google+ album URL. Multiple text fields / galleries are supported as well. Getting galleries on Drupal pages has never been so easy!
Support for Google+ Photos URLs! Google now redirects picasaweb.google.com to the albums section of Google+ Photos. You can get back to the old Picasa Web (see http://googlesystem.blogspot.be/2013/03/picasa-web-albums-redirects-to-g... to learn how) to get the RSS feed URL but it's a bit impractical.

NEW in 5.x-4.0: An image management page at /admin/settings/brilliant_gallery/manage showing all installed galleries on the website and to make any image visible or invisible by simply by clicking a slick AJAX-powered checkboxes (code based on the Ajax Checklist module). This allows you to upload your whole collection and only later decide what will be publicly viewable. Make sure you run /update.php after installation to establish the necessary database table! (Soon to be implemented in 6.x-2.0 as well)
1) Added two new tag options:
* sorting/randomizing,
* limiting maximum number of images to show.
The tag with full options now looks as follows: [bg|path/to/your/gallery/folder/without/wrapping/slashes|columncountoverride|widthoverride|sortorrandomoverride|maximumnumbertoshow]
