Project:Airplane Reservation System
Version:5.x-1.0
Component:Documentation
Category:task
Priority:normal
Assigned:OSLinux
Status:closed (fixed)

Issue Summary

OSlinux wants CVS access, ack on this issue (email is not enough for us as it the sender address is easily faked). This is explained on http://drupal.org/node/59

If you are applying for a CVS account because another module maintainer has agreed for you to become a co-maintainer of their module, please ensure this agreement is publicly available by creating a issue in the project's issue queue that clearly shows the current maintainer agreeing to that fact. Under this condition just stating this in the motivation message alone is insufficient for your application to be progressed. Once you have created the issue and the current maintainer has commented on it please don't forget to place a link to that issue in your motivation message to make the CVS administrators lives a little easier.

Would be nice if you guys actually read the instructions as on the application form and we keep pointing you at ;)

Would my big brother have read my 2nd email (headers 2) he could have understood that no faker would even dare to copy the email to the owner of the very module along the way :)

Would you have simply followed instructions in the first place, this whole thing would have been done much quicker. ;)

However, to stop all the fuzz and to simply get the thing going I acknoledge herewith OsLinux' application and want him to join the project also CVS-wise.

Thanks for the patience on all sides. Next time we will do better :-)

Have a nice sunday,

CVS account approved and OSLinux added to your project. Please note, it's not "fuzz", it's there to protect your project from being hi-jacked by someone else without your knowledge. If you had all followed the instructions on http://drupal.org/node/59 (which by the way is mandatory reading for all applicants, a link is on the applications page and the text "you must read this before applying") then it would have been a simple "click approve" operation without having to resort to email exchanges etc.

http://drupal.org/node/59 is there to prevent exactly this happening. I have no idea why so many find it hard to read this page before applying. That's why the default is to decline an application where said person couldn't be bothered helping us help them.

The "airplane reservation system" won't be touched anymore in the future, all efforts go into this new project.
