Necessity of OG Project Module

The description for this module indicates that Case Tracker integrates with Organic Groups. I have noticed that there is a separate OG Project module which claims to be necessary in order to use Organic Groups with the Project module. Since this module is based upon Project, does Case Tracker also require the OG Project module in order to use Organic Groups?
