Description

We discussed this in our last coffeetalk, but I think it's crucial that we roll our own lesson content type for DD. Doing this via taxonomy on g.d.o I think will be ultimately less flexible and more hassle. If we can have proposed dates, topics etc etc, this will be much more flexible than just a typical story node in g.d.o and I think it'll make the whole process smoother. Any time we can let the community (ie teachers in this case) do the heavy lifting (creating content) I think it will make our lives MUCH easier long term in the dojo.

That's my schpeel.

This is somewhat similar to what's being mentioned here (http://drupal.org/node/201622). Possibly you could have a similar template for both lesson and task/project ideas?

Which is also related to http://drupal.org/node/201898, which does combines them. ;-)

Would this be the best place to put our suggestions for the types of fields?

  • a taxonomy type for lesson difficulty.
  • a taxonomy type for modules used in lesson (or suggest inclusion of those modules in keywords)
