Use taxonomy as controlling field

For now, only fields with "allowed values" setting can be set as controlling field.
New features of this type will be added in future versions, when the basic functionality is tested and the most horrible bugs are killed.

This is exactly what I want to do - I'll keep an eye on comments here, and will test as soon as this feature is available

I'd be willing to contribute some time to this issue. Just let me know when the time comes that you're ready to start working on it.

In my case I'm using hierarchical select, but it would be nice if this would work with other taxonomy mechanisms... I think hiearachical select is something that comes 'over' the normal taxonomy selectors, so I guess if we can make it work with content_taxonomy it will work with hierarchical select...
