Dear Wim,

Thank you for your great module. I have a slight problem. With the Country the State takes a couple of moments to load and therefor users might miss the selection. (slow internet connections in South Africa):

Is there perhaps a way to load State via ajax or javascript with message 'loading ...' so that users know to wait?

While the client is waiting for the server to reply, the submit buttons are disabled, and the cursor is set to "wait". Those are sufficient indications, IMO.

How long delays are we talking about here?

Thank you for your quick response. It's a long submit form, so users will just pass the 'State/Province' selection to the next field as the 'State/Province' takes about 3 seconds to load.

It would be great if it could say 'loading' or 'one moment please'. Is that perhaps possible please Wim?

The new module Hierarchical Select will have two new major features:

  1. AJAX capable. That will increase speed for large scale projects. Such as thousands+ items (Taxonomy) in dropdown menus.
  2. Graceful degradation. That means working with both JavaScript deactivated or activated.
