I apologise if this sounds daft or if I have missed the answer to this whilst looking through this site but I figured it was time for me to ask people that know more about configuration than I clearly do:

I have a problem which I am unable to fathom out an answer to in order to address and correct it.

I am able to create a newsletter using the "create content" menu BUT the drop down box you use to assign this created content to a "newsletter" is not available on my "create newsletter" content page.

In effect I am creating newsletter content but because I am unable to assign it at the creation stage to a newsletter issue (ie "my site news") I am unable to send it out as I am continually prompted to "assign a newsletter issue" before being able to do so. The frustrating thing is because the drop down box on the "create newsletter issue" page is no where to be seen I'm hitting a brick wall.

Hopefully I have explained my problem as clearly as possible. I have a feeling some months ago I stupidly deleted something I shouldn't have done after installing the "simplenews" module and some others in the (with hindsight blind) hope I was streamlining my installation.

It doesn't prevent me from sending a test newsletter to a test email address as this works. But because no "newsletter" assignment can be made I am prevented from sending out new newsletter content to my subscribers.

I am hopeful that someone can assist with my problem and help me regain my ability to keep my newsletter subscribers up to date.

Incidentally, the module itself has properly installed. I'm wondering if I have deleted a view or something similar to prevent the drop down box from appearing on the "create newsletter" content page?!

mysite/admin/content/taxonomy

That is, in the admin menu, Site building -- content management - categories - list

and check the box next to newsletter issue..."
